Problem Statement

The main problem that this platform addresses is the lack of access to information, fragmentation, and inefficiencies in the agriculture value chain. Sabzland helps address the fragmentation and inefficiencies in the agriculture value chain. The agricultural value chain is complex and involves multiple players, including farmers, agribusinesses, processors, distributors, and retailers. These players often operate in silos, leading to inefficiencies, food wastage, and reduced profitability. The Sabzland platform can help solve this problem by providing a centralized platform for all players in the value chain to connect and collaborate. This will improve supply chain management, reduce transaction costs, and increase market transparency, enabling all players to access new markets and customers. Food wastage is a global problem. Every year, approximately 1.3 billion tonnes of food are wasted around the globe. In Pakistan, the amount of food waste generated is around 36 million tonnes, which is significant. This wastage has a tremendous impact on Pakistan's economy. The food wasted during unplanned harvesting, transportation, processing, storage, and consumption exceeds the country's food shortages. The lack of sufficient solutions to control this waste leads to hunger and expensive imports, making it a pressing issue that needs to be addressed.
