University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Peshawar, established in 1980, is a premier institution in the field of engineering, sciences and technologies spread across 22 departments. By virtue of its decades-long legacy of being a distinguished public sector engineering university at the National and International level, I feel proud to lead an institution, which is my alma mater.
With advancements in science and technological innovations the emerging industries have become more sophisticated and the role of universities have become more important in state-of-the-art knowledge dissemination which leads to producing skilled graduates, technological advancements, innovation, and commercialization.
I fervently believe that this is the time to streamline academic as well as administrative issues/protocols at UET Peshawar and to improve its ranking through research and scholarship. With this vision, I am very glad that UET – Peshawar is collaborating with National Ideas Bank(NIB), IdeaGist and Pak-100 teams to implement NIB Ideas competition that is the brainchild of the Honorable President of Pakistan.
